Just a quick email to say how much I enjoyed the workshop last Friday.
It was only when I was driving home and my head had stopped spinning that I realised home much you guys had taught me in just a day.
I cant wait to go out and practice everything that I have learned.

Thanks again for a great workshop.

Another great day from Photography Workshops and very happy with the sessions.  Reinforced previous learning and stretched me beyond my normal safe and boring portraits. 

Maggie Lou, the model was wonderful to work with - professional, patient, and able to connect with the camera on cue every time. 

Andy and Terry work well together, their different styles really making the information stick, and both very happy to take time to ensure each delegate got what they wanted from the day.  I will be back for more workshops that are both entertaining and inspiring at the same time.

New workshop location

We have been busy sourcing new locations for our expanding number of workshops in 2012.

We are delighted to be working with the Rectory Hotel in Crudwell, Wiltshire, which has both beautfiul rooms and stunning gardens.

In addition they are offering accomodation, on a first come - first served basis, to all our delegates attending a PW course at the Rectory for only £75 per night per room, B&B.

They were also kind enough to allow us to use the facilities to take some promotional shots:

clearly an excellent location - we look forward to starting working there very soon!



Basic dslr skills course

We are planning to launch the basic dslr skills course in late spring.  Meanwhile we are busy writing the course notes and the presentation - much to do, but the framework is almost complete - a taster...

New location for the workshops

We are very excited about a new location for PW workshops, namely the Rectory Hotel in Crudwell.  The hotel has extensive grounds as well as very spacious rooms on 2 floors allowing many shooting sets to be utilised.

LIAD - the delegates speak...

After the first LIAD (Licentiate in a Day) course of 2012, the delegates have been invited to give us their feedback:

LIAD a success!!

Our inaugural course for 2012 - LIAD (Licentiate in a Day) was a SUCCESS.

8 delegates, 2 models and 2 instructors for a day of full-on theory and practical training paving the road towards achieving that licentiate distinction.  Feedback and images from the delegates to follow, but meanwhile this captured during our afternoon practical session:

Posing Guide is complete

The PW posing guide is finished!

Disc production begins tomorrow and the guide will be available from this weekend.

Posing Guide Photography complete!

Yesterday, PW model Sophie and Andy spent the morning in the studio completing the photography for our posing guide.  The guide will contain over 250 individual poses, arranged into sets and the poses will "flow" from one to the next.

The DVD is now in production and should be released for sale within 2 weeks - watch this space:

LIAD in 6 days

Course no 1 for 2012 is only 6 days away and as well as Sophie, we are also welcoming Maggie as our second model.

Maggie has worked with us before and is a fabulous model.  Our delegates are going to have a seriously fantastic day...

Basic Skills Workshop

We are regularly asked about basic camera skills, particularly from people who have bought a DSLR and are stuck in the Automatic mode.  Result - we have kept nice and busy this winter designing the DSLR Basic Skills Workshop, aimed at new DSLR users wanting to learn more about their camera's capabilities and the wonderful level of photography that can be achieved with some focussed (ooer!) education.

More details will be coming soon about this exciting new course for 2012...

Countdown to LIAD

Our first "Licentiate in a Day" course of 2012 is just 16 days away.  The lovely Mayfield Hotel in Crudwell, Wiltshire is our location for the day and our delegates can look forward to a rigourous training day, providing them with the camera and lighting skills needed to meet and exceed the standard required to gain a Licentiate distinction.
